Have you ever wondered why the line is sticking out of a attic vent hole above one of your windows?

It is there for a purpose and that purpose is to tell you that your primary drain line on your AC system is clogged. The secondary line drips water to keep the AC Pan from overflowing. The drip line is usally above a window so it helps to see it easier.

We recommend you put a float switch on your primary line so if the pan gets to a certain level it will turn off the AC system to prevent damage. If the primary line and secondary line gets clogged the water will go through the ceiling of your home. Then you have to repaint the ceiling, dry it out, possible water mediation, clean the carpets, etc. The cost could easily be over 1000 dollars if you are lucky, so spend the 300 to 400 hundred and get it serviced.

We always advise tenants at move it and show them the secondary line and if they see any water coming out, even a drip, they are to notify our company immediately.

Don't put off your AC service, changing filters every 30, 60, 90 days, depending on your filter type. If we use a 90 day filter we change it out around 70 days. Don't go cheap on your AC. A new AC can cost 8 to 12 thousand dollars. Why go cheap on a service. We service every 12 to 18 Months. Some builders are known for crapping installs so we have to clean them out every 6 months.
