Have you ever seen a cracked sidewalk or curb? Ever seen a manhole or utility cover open or lose and didn’t know what to do or who to call? Have your tenant(s) ever reported a problem to you and you didn’t know who to call?

You can report it to the City.

The Department of Customer Services receives the complaints and the Department of Planning and Permitting also has inspectors who investigate complaints of damaged utility covers and manholes and refer the repairs to the appropriate owners of the manhole and hand hole covers

To report any dangers on city sidewalks, you can contact the city via the following:

Email: complaints@honolulu.gov
Call: 808.768.4381
Download: Honolulu 311 app on iPhone or Android. Just search for “Honolulu 311” and download the free app.

The app for the IPhone can use your location while you are using the app if you allow it. This will send a report to the city with your location and you can enter any other pertinent data.

You can report the following items:

  1. Abandoned Vehicles
  2. Broken / Vandalized Signs
  3. Broken Street Lights
  4. Construction runoff
  5. Illegal Dump Site
  6. Stored Property Violation
  7. Storm Water Pollution
  8. Taxi Complaints
  9. Tree or Plant Maintenance
  10. Other

Some of the complaints have been updated with what the city has done. It saves your complaints so you can review them to see the status if they have been updated. It also shows all complaints in your area and you have the option to view the complaints on a map.
